Course Objectives

  • To enable delegates to be able to assess and respond promptly, safely and effectively to a recent spillage event and take appropriate action to protect human health and the environment, utilising suitable equipment and techniques to mitigate damage.
    • Training limited to response to spillages on hardstandings (internal and external) and within drainage systems, bunds and interceptors (ISAS Accreditation Category 1)
  • To provide the depth of information on the subject matter to enable delegates to cascade training to their colleagues
  • To ensure that any such cascaded training covers the core learning objectives of the Spill First Responder course, whilst adapting to the specific needs of the site/company operations and risks
  • The Spill Train the Trainer + HAZMAT course follows the same syllabus as the Spill Train the Trainer course, with the addition of a further hour’s training on specific spill response requirements for up to four liquids chosen by you.

Operating at an international level, Stewart is a board member of the UK & Eire Spill Association and is the current Chairman of the International Spill Accreditation Scheme which sets and monitors standards within the spill response industry.
