SpillRanger
SpillRanger is a marine oil recovery vessel that has been designed to recover oil and contaminated debris from the nearshore environment, rivers, ports and harbours. The multipurpose oil recovery vessel is equipped with the new XTractor range of oil skimmer units, recovered oil separating systems and storage tanks.
Capable of recovering up to 15,000 litres an hour of oil and floating chemicals, it removes mineral oils, vegetable oils, and animal fats as well as insoluble chemicals, scum, foam and bacterial bloom.

The SpillRanger is a multi-function, highly manoeuvrable craft manufactured from high-quality, marine-grade aluminium – and a Pollution Pod mop skimmer for oil recovery.
The unique drop-in ‘pod’ system allows a range of duties to be undertaken efficiently, whilst also offering a large working area and excellent stability.

Pollution Pod – Mop Skimmer for OSRVs
The ‘Pollution Pod’ is a specially designed oil mop skimmer system purpose-built to fit into the SpillRanger.
The Pollution Pod is an independent package which is lowered into the catamaran and fixed down with the 4 lock bolts (one in each corner). The skimmer has its own diesel hydraulic power pack, lifting RAM and transfer pump.
It consists of the following major items: skimmer head, receiving tank, transfer pump, power pack, pollution pod frame, removable oil capture wing and lifting RAM.
The skimming system incorporates a small oil/water separator tank to allow any free water to be returned and ensures only oil or floating chemicals will be removed for further processing or treatment off-site.

Oil Recovery Vessel to Suit Your Needs
We work closely with our customers, suppliers and fabricators to deliver an end product that fits your requirements. The specification of the pollution pod can be tailored to your needs. It’s all made to order, so the vessel specification can also be amended, within reason.
Upon completion of the build, the SpillRanger undergoes sea trials before it’s delivered to you in a container with some hull assembly required on arrival. Everything you need to commission the vessel is supplied by Darcy, enabling you to start using the vessel straight away.
