Disc Skimmer
The Disc Skimmer provides selective oil recovery across inland waters, shoreline areas and other environments where floating oil needs to be removed with very low free-water pick-up. Its oleophilic discs attract oil as they rotate through the oil and water mixture, allowing the recovered product to be separated and collected efficiently.
The system can recover a wide range of oils, including heavier hydrocarbons, and operates in very shallow water. The system will operate in most environments, including very shallow waters, and will recover in excess of 98% oil.

Product Information
A series of oleophilic discs rotates through the oil and water mixture. Oil adheres to the disc surfaces and is drawn into the skimmer.
Scrapers fitted on both sides of each disc remove the oil, which is then collected in a reservoir ready for removal.
The oleophilic disc design keeps free-water pick-up very low when separating light oils, while the positive displacement pump enables recovery of heavier hydrocarbons.
