Weir Skimmer
The Trident Weir Skimmer is designed for efficient removal of floating oil and other pollutants where a simple, adjustable recovery system is required. It can be deployed for mobile emergency response or left in place for longer-term recovery in rivers, lakes, industrial lagoons, interceptors, harbours and sheltered estuarial environments.
Its adjustable central weir allows the depth of skim to be controlled to suit the surface layer being recovered. The system operates down to a 4-inch shallow draft and can discharge by gravity, vacuum tanker or a compatible pumping unit.

Skimming is achieved by ballasting the stainless steel floats with water until the central weir is positioned correctly to remove pollution floating on the water surface.
The weir intake is designed for hydrostatic operation with inline throughput to support obstruction-free operation. Recovered oil or pollution is discharged through the rear cam connection to a pump.
The unit is designed to be easy to operate and virtually maintenance free.
